Yes! I’m running again because now more than ever Chautauqua County, or at least the best part of it, deserves a chance to choose a better direction than politics as usual. Ever increasing taxes and regulations, mismanagement of our resources, and blatant cronyism at even the local and county levels of government. Sick of it yet? I am. I’m willing to call it out and do my best to turn it around or at least slow it down.
In the coming weeks I’ll detail the following policies and more.
-The failure of our County leaders to stand up to Cuomo’s unconstitutional shutdowns and covid mandates that unnecessarily disrupted and destroyed our businesses, schools, and places of worship.
-The Legislature’s reluctance to prohibit industrial solar companies that already receive massive tax subsidies from the state and federal governments from getting PILOT deals through the County Industrial Development Agency. Effectively putting a higher tax burden on residents and destroying our rural landscape and property values.
-Standing up against the formation of a Lake Management District on Chautauqua Lake which is nothing more than a creative way to dump more of our hard-earned money into half-baked herbicide applications and redundant studies. The County is the one cook too many that spoils the pot on Chautauqua Lake. Property owners, user/interest groups and the lake municipalities should work together with the NYDEC to manage the lake. Involving County bureaucrats just muddies the waters.
I’m currently collecting petition signatures to get on the ballot. If you’re a voter in the district and are willing to sign please contact me. Likewise, if you’re a registered voter anywhere in NY and would like to help collect signatures in the district please contact me as well.
Hope to see you all at my launch event on Monday May 24th at Anthony’s Supper Club from 4-7pm.
